Open Door Ministry

The Open Door Ministry is our local homeless shelter.  Some of the people at St. Christopher's were active in beginning this shelter many years ago.

In addition to occasional food drives to support their kitchen, St. Christopher's takes a turn six times a year providing evening meals.  Usually over 100 persons come to be served.  One relatively new experience has been the number of women and children coming to be fed.   Sometimes they are attempting to stretch a very meager food budget by bringing their children for one or two good meals a week. ..... Hard to believe, isn't it?
